Food Tasting #6: Hizon's (part 2) - UPDATE

Here's an update of the food tasting that we had yesterday.

We arrived at Hizon's venue in Proj. 6 at almost 12nn . Went in to the bldg, looked for our AE and waited patiently for our turn. When our AE approached us she seems to be more shy than us. Hehehe. We had the normal Q&A and filling up of the info sheet. Afterwards, the main event was served. Food!!!

We expected that we will be seated at the rooftop where the dining tables and food were set up similar to the 1st experience we had with them. But we figured out that we came a bit late so many might be eating still. So the food was served at the mini conference room where we were seated that was near the work table of the AEs.

As expected, food was good. Delicious. But then again, for the second time, we were not accommodated that much. Why? After the main course, we expected to have a sweet treat from their selection of desserts but none came. The AE just went on with her boring spill. Imagine this, she's talking about PROMOs and FREEbies that would at least make the discussion interesting, but sad to say does not ring any bell or light any bulb on our head. We were not even asked for a refill of glass of water!!! A and I both wanted quality of service. We wanted to feel special. Unfortunately, the attending AE was not successful in (1) making us feel important or wanted (2) convincing us to go and sign up for their service. Yeah, She's nice and pretty but that's not how the grading system works. I don't know if she was bored or tired or maybe that's how she normally do her presentation. In order to win prospect clients, rule of thumb is clients should be attended well. Unfortunately, we did not experienced that for the 2nd time. We guess we were simply not meant for them.

Nonetheless, here's the rating on food.

FOOD RATING

Cheesy Lasagna Pasta
Pork Oriental
Lengua Royal
Chicken Terriyaki
Fish Fillet in Lemon Butter Sauce

Legend:
Highest

We left the venue frustrated. Yes it was free but it does not warrant you'll be happy afterwards.
Since we didn't get any sweets at that time, we ended up pacifying ourselves with DQ's blizzard. :P

Food Tasting #6: Hizon's (part 2)

Yep. We will have a taste of their food again this coming Sat, May 30.
The new AE that will take care of us is Kristel. I hope this time, we will be attended well.
The 1st food tasting we had with Hizon was a big mistake from their end. A and I were really, as in really sold out of how good their food was but...too bad, someone has forgotten us for we were sitting there for almost hours waiting to be entertained of how their package are. We value service. If you suck on this....big SORRY. *shrug shoulders*

But, It's still free food for us. :D

Who know's we might consider another catering services on a separate date. Can be another party for a smaller group of people. Hehehe. This is not impossible to happen.

Search for my Wedding Dress

We've attended several bridal affairs since Jan of this year and I talked several friends who tied the knot for recommendations for their gowns. I phoned several local suppliers and grabbed almost every supplier brochures for wedding designers, couture, etc. Send several emails here and there. I even read entries on W@W. (but so many entries nakakahilo magbasa..hehe)

So, just last night...I was checking new pictures of Richard Buan and Paul Vincent. For the record, Paul Vincent was my favorite Photog. I've been a fan/follower of him for almost 2 years now. However, we settled with Richard Buan because of budget. I must say, Richard Buan though is equally talented. (I hope hindi magtampo si Richard if ever he reads this. :P )

Anyways, to continue my story..... as I was browsing Paul Vincent's site, I went to one of his links. Hovered my mouse to "The Veluz Bride". Instantly I was WoWed by her creations. It's beautiful. I browsed and browsed for older posts and every bride was amazingly beautiful with the her dress. I sent her an email asking for her rates, etc. then went to sleep.

So today, I was lucky to be home early. I opened my rig...checked emails to see if Veluz replied then visit Veluz' site again. Since there's no reply, I sent SMS to the mobile number posted on the site. As expected I got a reply but not from Veluz but from Gercel. Exchanged few SMS with her. I was already stitching thoughts of myself, with my gown made by Veluz when an SMS came from Gercel.

The SMS was:

Gercel: "Ms. Janice, sori po bt we r fully bookd na po on dat date..."
Me: "why? how many brides do you accommodate ba?"
Gercel: "Yes po, we only accomd8 4 brides in a day.."
Me: "Ganun? So quota na kayo? :-( "
Gercel: "Yes po, so sori po tlaga.."
Me: *sigh*

My dream dress from Veluz....Gone!!! :(

Wedding Dress Quest #1: CA

Cecilio Abad was W@W's 2008 Supplier of year awardee. Due to his popularity I hooked myself on his site and browsed all his gown creations. No doubt! He is awesome. So, I brave myself and asked him for a sketch with the help of wedding gown inspirations submitted to him. Then he came with this:

I instantly fell in love with it. However, price is to much and is way way over our budget :(
