December is....

For me, December is:

1. The best season in a year.
2. The happiest month because of series of family affairs, best time to have reunions and the time where we all have parties almost everyday.
3. The busiest season of all. Shopping left and right, traffic jams, Year-end and Christmas Sale everywhere.
4. The new June. Many weddings happens in December.
5. 13th month and Bonus pay out.
6. For Philippines, nice weather. Not too hot, not too cold.
7. Where majority of Pinoys go out to hear mass for "Simbang Gabi". Simbang Gabi is a long time Filipino tradition where people go out early in the morning to attend mass as early as 4am.
8. Season for hot and delicious puto bumbong and bibingka.
9. Season where almost all streets are lighted with different colors and festive designs.
10. People are more generous. Hope Baby J's Ninongs and Ninangs will have gifts for him. hehehe.
11. You will shop for gifts for your friends and love ones.
12. You'll buy a new dress or shoes for yourself.
13. Is the month I can file a long leave and have fun bonding with family.
14. Is where colors where Red, Gold & Green can be seen everywhere.
15. Christmas Carols.
16. Is the season you double or triple your coffee, tea and frappuccino consumption just to get that collectors edition of Starbucks, Coffeebean, Seattle's Best or any Coffee calendar/organizer.
17. Your telephone bill will increase because of txt messages and call you will make especially during the 24th, 25th and 31st. If you get through the UNLI promos of leading telco's, then you're lucky!!!
18. You'll not be too guilty if you eat sweets big time!!!
19. The best reason to skip diet and exercise!!! Yey!
20. You'll attempt to contemplate and think if you have been good, better and wiser before the year ends and will check if you have accomplished at least two from last year's "new years resolution" list.
21. Time to start your NEW "New Year's Resolution List for 2012" ^__^
22. You'll get drunk Big Time from at least one of the many parties you'll attend.  (This one is a BIG NO for me now coz I'm still exclusively breast feeding! ^__^)
23. Is our wedding anniversary month.
24. Is my birth month!!! Yey!!!
25. Above all, December is the time of the year we celebrate CHRISTmas. The day Jesus Christ was born.

I can write and add more but will limit it to 25 reasons...wala lang. kasi Dec. 25 is Christmas. hehehe (babaw!)

Well, December or Christmas season has been so commercialized that sad to admit, majority of us loses the true meaning of the season. Santa Claus seems to be the main character when in fact, it should be JESUS. :-(
As I heard today's preaching from the service at Victory Galleria, it helps me wonder and indeed inspired me to write about the "COLORS OF CHRISTMAS" (that's the title of this month's series). The first color is GREEN which means LIFE. And through God, one can have an abundant LIFE of
1. Healing
2. Growth
3. Freedom and
4. Promises/Heirs
5. Relationships
6. Strenght
Wow!!! Imagine these! Amazing right?

I'm excited to hear the next week's color which is RED.
